A traffic ticket for Pope Benedict?

It may be necessary for a more generous contribution to Peter’s Pence next year because it has been reported that a member of the public is going to take a law suit against the Pope for, allegedly, failing to wear a seatbelt ”for more than an hour”, while travelling in the Popemobile during his recent trip to Germany.

It has also been reported that the Archbishop of Freiburg and the president of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg will be called as witnesses.

If he is found guilty, Pope Benedict faces a fine of  $NZ61 but experts say that because he is a Head of State he is unlikely to be convicted.
