The new Pope has been greeted with hundreds of parody Twitter accounts including one that was suspended for appearing almost too realistic.
The Twitter handle @JMBergoglio began amassing followers from the minute Argentinian cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio was named Pope, going from 3500 to 130,000 followers within an hour.
It posted controversial tweets including that children would love him more than Santa Claus and that the church must protect children by barring homosexual adoption.
