Would you take an egg in the face for Jesus?
A group of Auckland University students lined up on Easter weekend to be egged in the name of religious education.
Christian group Student Life Auckland held the ‘Egg a Christian’ event at the university quad, in the hope that students would come down to chuck a chocolate Easter egg and find out more about the religious holiday.
Participants had the Easter story and Christ’s resurrection explained to them before being giving an egg to throw at the Student Life volunteers.
The organisation hoped to encourage debate about Easter and connect with students to pass on the meaning behind the holiday.
No report is available as to the success of this exercise.
